Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director and supermodel. In addition to her graceful appearance, her steady success in the highly competitive world of film proves her skills as an actor. Modeling began in the 70s. In the next few years, she was one the top models. After completing her acting studies Russo started her modeling career at the age of Los Angeles. in 1987 Russo portrayed Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year with Major League, her debut film. Initially skeptical about her capability as an actress, the public was enticed because of her tenacity. Rose Namajunas ranks among the best UFC female athletes. Her journey began as an amateur fighter, competing in various regional events. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her up and she later joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. The success she has achieved both inside and outside of the Octagon has turned her into an international brand after she became a member of the UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29th, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Rose was a basketball player as well as kickboxing while she was growing older. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her when she was 18 years old and she was able to win 2 fights via submission. The fights caught the eye of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC the strawweight division at the age of 22. Rose has experienced highs and lows in her career, but she always comes out with a victory. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by an technical knockout that took less than three minutes of round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was named Fighter Of The Night. Rose also made MMA history by winning this fight since she was the first woman to compete in a title fight at any organization of note. Namajunas continued to have many wins, including two victories against Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Best Performance of the Night award from UFC.
